I'm Sarah McLean.
I am the owner of GPS, Global Packing & Shipping. My company was founded in Camden in 1988 under the name of Pop & Pac. The odd name of Pop & Pac originated because of the product lines sold by the business. In the early years, Pop & Pac sold over thirty varieties of popcorn and was also a drop-off location for UPS. The founders eventually decided to offer packing services as well, and the rest is history.
In 2002, I purchased the business and recognized that packing and shipping had become the "tail wagging the dog," so I focused on professionalizing this core service. In Camden, we have established ourselves as a reliable partner in business-to-business service by becoming the packing and shipping department for many small businesses while at the same time providing a valuable service to the consumer directly. Our new name, Global Packing & Shipping, or GPS, is
more reflective of our mission (we no longer sell popcorn), but our
motto will remain the same: "Shipping Across the Harbor and Around the World."
